The original bathroom had a rarely used corner jetted tub, a gold-framed shower and a dated oak vanity. We removed the tub and built a large walk-in shower with frameless glass, a ceiling rain head plus a wall shower and hand shower, a built-in quartz bench, a marble-mosaic niche and a circle-marble mosaic floor. A new white shaker double vanity with quartz counters, a matching drawer bank and large-format porcelain floors complete the room. Finished in three weeks, on budget.

Bathroom Remodeling FAQs

How much does a bathroom remodel cost in Charlotte, NC?

Most Charlotte bathroom remodels cost $10,000 to $30,000. Primary bath remodels with layout changes run $30,000 to $60,000+. Your price depends on size, tile choice, fixtures and whether plumbing moves.

How long does a bathroom remodel take?

A cosmetic refresh takes 3–7 days. Most full bathroom remodels take 2–3 weeks, and a primary bath takes 3–5 weeks.

Can you convert my tub into a walk-in shower?

Yes. Tub-to-shower conversions are one of our most frequent projects. We remove the tub and build a custom tiled walk-in shower with a glass door, niches and an optional bench. Most conversions take about 2 weeks. Read: Tub-to-Shower Conversion: Is It Worth It? →

Do you build accessible or aging-in-place bathrooms?

Yes, frequently. We build curbless walk-in showers, add grab bars and built-in seats, widen entries, and install comfort-height toilets and hand-held shower heads. These are safe, easy-to-use bathrooms that still look beautiful.

Do I need a permit for a bathroom remodel in Charlotte?

Replacing a vanity, toilet or tile usually doesn't require one. Moving plumbing, adding electrical circuits or changing walls generally requires a permit from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Code Enforcement. We pull and manage permits when needed, including inspections.

Do you help with design?

Yes, but it's your bathroom and your call. We start with your ideas and needs, and help develop them into a final plan, with tile and fixture options, plus drawings or 3D renderings when you need them.

Can I use my home while you remodel the bathroom?

Yes. We seal off the work area and clean up daily. If it's your only bathroom, we'll plan the schedule to keep the time without a working toilet and shower as short as possible.

Do you offer financing?

Yes, through RenoFi and First Citizens Bank. Learn more.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Remodel CLT is a North Carolina Licensed General Contractor (#109290) and fully insured, with a 6-month workmanship warranty.
